Opened this website with intentions to delete this blog but after reading through what I've wrote, i changed my mind. Haha! Yes! i AM this fickle minded.

So....... college has been pretty much OK for the past one month. The only challenge the right now is Further Math. Oh god why did i choose to take it. It's so fuhreeeekin mentally challenging. And i was stubborn to not drop it. Sheesh. What was i doing looking for trouble -.- Oh welllsssss, fingers are kept crossed for better absorption of FM!
Other than that, college's good :D It's a brand new group of friends but we're pretty much comfortable with one another now. And lunch time would more or less be the 'old kawans meet up time'.
So yes, college life is pretty much good so far :D
Hopefully it remains this way! ;)

Don't ask me why i'm here again. 2 blog posts in a row, haha. I'm just bored. Plain bored :)

I can't seem to get my mind off post SPM activities. Halfway throught the boring History book, my mind just wonders to this... life after SPM...
"The computer will be my best friend (ok on second thoughts, maybe not), I'll get back more to music <3, practise with Dal and Lis, shop shop shop, sleep sleep sleep, movies till the cows come home... and OHOHO!! I'm planning to pick up violin and saxophone! call me insane but i just can't help it and that's what i want. :D oh and i THINK there MIGHT be a puppy coming in then. it'll be purely enjoyment then. Can't waitt!!"
And then after all those day dreaming, it kinda sucks to have to pull the concentration back to History. Oh well... just for a few more months Adelyn. I'm sure you can do that, just a few more months :)

Hello October.
so... the trials are finally over. Can't believe the next exam I'm gonna sit for will be the big one :S

Anywayyyyyy, attended Nadhira's open house today with almost all Gammarians <3 it was quite a good gathering for our final few months together. One day when our paths no longer meet, I'll review this chapter and smile at the good times and fond memories they've all given to me, especially those in Penang :)

After the open house, it was time for the dentist... jeng jeng JENGGG!! :S I now have power straps on both the upper and lower jaws which really hurts, ALOT. and from 1 rubber band in my mouth, i now have 2! So yes, it'll definitely be a painful October. All those pain for beauty...

Now that went pretty well for a first-timer, didn't it? ;)
Performing with Shaun and Yan Weng during the weekends in Sunway Pyramid for Kechara's early Wesak celebration was such an experience! I played the piano, Yan Weng on the guitar and Shaun sang. It actually opened another door for me, a door to performing. I honestly liked it. Haha, somehow. i mean yes of course before going up on stage my fingers were cold, heart beating like crazy and the thought of screwing up refused to leave. But when i was up there on stage, looking at everyone who had their eyes on me, it's surprisingly not as scary as i thought i would be. it was truly enjoyable and i sincerely thank them all who gave me this opportunity :)
certainly looking forward to more of these experiences!

It's honestly saddening to actually notice that it is the last photo session we'll ever go through in secondary school, isn't it? And our graduation shot! Oh gosh, someday we'll open this picture album and just laugh our heads off when we recall what teenagers we used to be. hahaa!

Leadership Camp 2011

The leadership camp is definitely one of those memories that i will look back and smile at ♥

Day 1...
We were supposed to leave for Dusun Eco Resort, Bentong Pahang by 8-ish but some letters arrived late in school. So instead of wasting time in the school canteen yakking among ourselves, almost all of us went to pay our last respect to the late Siow E Kent. He just turned 16 when he passed away of cancer about a week ago. He must have gone through much pain and suffering for the past year, going through treatments after treatments but finally...... He decided to go off, to a much better place. Rest in peace E Kent, and may you have a good rebirth. We'll miss you dearly.

So after paying our last respect, off we went to McD's and then to Pahang. After some settling down and briefing, all 84 of us were split into 10 teams altogether. And lucky me, I was placed in the same team as my Dalila, Tiam, Praba, Rae-Gin, Melanie, Shaheen, Nicole and Emi. Couldn't really ask for better team mates than 8 of them ♥ After lunch, we went straight for water rafting. Made our own rafts which... oh boy wasn't easy at all. It was definitely tiring but yet again, FUN :D After completing that, we moved on to the flying fox. But before that, we had to walk across a cable above some trees to get to the other side, where the flying fox was. It was wobbly and i was so so SO afraid. Thanks to Space Shot in Genting, I'm now afraid of heights. Shaheen walking behind me didn't make things much better when he went on and on talking and singing. Major distraction, haha! Okay so later on, came the best part of camp, WATER POLO! It was fun, really really FUN! Played against group 2 and we won by 11-5 ;)
That night, we had to come up with a group name, group cheer and our group logo. We all agreed upon the name Mustangs and our cheer was funny, haha. It started with a rap by tiam and then all of us went like, "TO THE WINDOW, TO THE WALL!...........". Love that crazy team to pieces! :D

Day 2

We went through the obstacle course and rock climbing. Obstacle course was tough. I didn't manage to complete all as my right foot was still aching a little due to the recent sprain in my ankle. Most of the others completed all but Melanie injured herself in one of the obstacle courses. It was the one where we needed to swing from a tyre to another to get to the other side. Well she slipped and had a bad fall on her knee... She had to skip the later activities and was sent to Bentong Hospital where her parents fetched her later at night to admit her in SDMC back here in Subang. So after the 2 activities was jungle trekking. Now that was really tiring. Uphill was killing, yes yes i know, sign of lack of exercise ;) I was super worried for Dalila as she is asthmatic and needed to take several stops here and there. But after the uphill part, she was good, thank goodness. But both sides of my shoe soles... decided to stay in the jungle. So yeah, i was sole-less nearly half the whole activity. The thin layer left at the sole of my feet made me feel like i was just wearing 2 layers of socks. But either way, there were many helping hands everywhere. Everybody was practically saying "Do you need help? Careful there are thorns here. Careful, it's slippery there. Take your time..." etc. It was really really nice of all of them ♥
After the long tiring jungle trekking, we returned to our dorms only to find out that we've got some company. Quite a number of juveniles, and they were placed very very near to the girls' dorm. I still don't see why they had to place the juveniles near the girls' dorm when they have so many other dorms available at that huge place. Fast forward, we were required to do a sketch and we did something with Red Indians and Cowboys. I swear Tiam's and Praba's acting was THE BOMB! There was a point where all of us except Praba and Tiam had to lay flat on the floor, acting as dead but we couldn't stop laughing as they were just so hilarious! :D Later on we came up with our SU leadership camp cheer and went back to our dorms. That was when all guys were really protective and concern over the girls. They really sounded like fathers, haha. All the serious faces around...

Day 3

All activities were indoors, where we had to present our speeches. Round 1 is when we have to just deliver our speech among our group members. Round 2 is when 1 team member is selected from each team to deliver their speeches on the stage, in front of 82 other participants. And I was... shall i say privileged? to make it to round 2 and speak in front of the crowd. It was NERVE-WRECKING! i could literally feel my hands trembling at a certain points. But overall, it was a good experience :)

That was basically the 3 days we went through in leadership camp. Oh yes before i forget, there were millions of bugs everywhere!! I'm a person who is personally super afraid of bugs, especially those which look like beetles and cockroaches. And there... there were huge huge HUGE beetles. When you're eating, an insect will suddenly land on the table, on your hand or on your hair. The toilet was worse! You wouldn't want to know about it.

But all in all, it was definitely a great camp! A good exposure i would say and it was simply good!
Looking forward to another experience like this :)

Failures

So I guess this is what they mean by...
"You are successful not when you have never failed, but when you rise up again after you fail".

I personally never believed in it. I guess it's cause I never knew what failure tasted like. Until now.
Well, facing 2 failures in about a month? One is the Roland competition. That one is understandable as it's only my first competition and only 2 people are chosen :)
But the second one is something that matters so much to me. Trinity Diploma Music exam. I just got the news a couple of days ago and it wasn't good. I guess i just wasn't good enough? The bad news honestly crushed me. I've cried but there's nothing i can change, right? But trust me, it's not the end of it. I've came so far, too far in fact and no I'm not stopping here. I'm gonna give it another try, another good try :) Maybe next year? For now, I shall just brush up and polish what I've got i guess. So yup...

Roland Piano Festival 2011

I've been missing out so so SO much here lately. my deepest apologies :(

So many things have happened lately and i just don't know where to begin...

So let's start with my very first piano competition, shall we? :)

Roland Piano Festival 2011.

It was held on the 29th of January and... it was the semi-finals!

I enrolled my name in that event last August and have decided to play Frederic Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu. Crazy but very VERY beautiful song :)

So... fingers cold and heart beating like the heavy rain dropping on the roof, I walked into the studio with all my four loyal supporters - Mom, Dad, Marilyn and Jocelyn ♥ :D

And it was such a coincidence that i bumped into Min Li just before i entered the studio. I'm guessing that she joined with her younger sister? :)

Anyway moving on, before my turn there were 2 guys and a girl, 3 of them around my age, waiting patiently to go in front and show their talent. And goodness me! they're this super talented people. To be honest, my fear level hiked up when i heared then play and my fingers were like super cold. So not long after, i was called up.

Contestant number 22, Adelyn Teoh May Yen, playing Frederic Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu.

My fingers were numb, no kidding. Usually my fingers get super tired when i play the first section of the song but when i played there, i tried it on 2 different pianos right before playing for the real competition which was taped (that made it a whole lot worse :S ) and my fingers... i didn't feel any pain or pressure or anything like that. All i felt on the cold cold fingers was the white and black piano keys, not tired at all, thank goodness. And I was honestly really afraid that i would just suddenly go blank and just suddenly stop playing halfway as there was no piano sheets allowed! like.. AHHHH!! OMB!

So anyway i guess that 6 minutes taken to play that song passed really fast. Before I knew, i was hearing applause instead of notes that i play. It was a good feeling. I felt so good, honestly. I think i might just join more competitions or performances. Winning or losing comes in second place. It's just so fun to perform and then at the end of it, a satisfied round of applause from the audiences :) Despite all the fear and practices, yes, it is worthit. Results for the competition will be out by 20 February by mail. So *fingers crossed*... hopefully I'll manage to pull through this and enter the finals which will be on the 26 March 2011 :)

First of all, i know it's kind of late, but anyhow...
Happy New Year! :)

School has been rather hectic, lots of catching up to do and more things coming in to be handled.
But on the other hand, it felt great meeting up with everyone else after almost 2 months.
Gamma was great as usual <3 hahaa oh dear how i missed them during the holidays.

And oh!! i just fixed my braces on Tuesday. Red and pink for Chinese New Year. haha!
it feels weird, very weird. Until today, when i get up in the morning, I'll be like 'hey whats that annoying feeling? Oh... it's just the braces'.
Eating has been this huge problem ever since. I can't even manage eating a fishball!!
Chewing has been rather pain for now, so i sort of started just gulping my food down.
Hopefully the pain would go off soon and I'll be able to eat :D
Oh all the pain only for beautiful teeth.

The thing i love love love most about Christmas is the Christmas carols played everywhere!
It really brings up the festive mood and of course, cheers up the whole atmosphere :)

Well, this Christmas is a little weird as second sister went off for her Youth Dhamma Camp. So it's kind of empty at home. hmmmmm... but anyway we don't really celebrate Christmas, so i guess it doesn't make much of a difference. It's just that we exchange gifts and... we're always together on Christmas day, somehow :)

So yeah, to everybody....

daddy's eye surgery

It all started on that Wednesday when we (mother, 2 sisters and I) went to Mid Valley Megamall for some shopping and also to catch a movie. So while we had our bonding time, daddy went to an eye specialist to do an eye check-up. He has been complaining that his left eye's side vision has been somewhat blocked. Apparently it is just like a curtain dropping and affecting his side vision. He initially thought it was his skin that sagged down.

So that night after his check-up and after our dinner, he came and fetched us home. That was when he exposed to all of us that his retina has detached itself. The detachment of this inner lining of his eyes may lead to blindness if left untreated. He has to go for an operation asap to prevent matters from getting worse. So according to that doctor, he now has two choices, either to place gas or silicone oil into his eyes to push the retina back into its original place. Choice 1, gas: takes about 2 weeks to regain his vision. but... two weeks of torture. he needs to place his head facing down for an hour, then upright resting for 10 minutes. and then another hour facing down, and goes the circle. Even sleeping position is not left out. he has to face down while sleeping. how on earth is he supposed to live like that? And then, he's not supposed to fly during this period of time. Choice 2, oil: takes about 3 months to regain back his normal vision. During this 3 months his vision will be blurred and after the 3 months he needs to go for another surgery to remove the oil. So most probably no driving for 3 months.

Torn between two not-so-attractive choices, we all decided to seek a second opinion. That was when all of us met daddy's friend, Datuk Dr Shukri the next day. Seeing dad's condition he spoke so calmly and said that he should go for a surgery that dy itself. The way he explained it to us was so calm, as though retina detachment was a tiny weeny matter like lasic or cataract to him. So that night, dad went for that eye surgery. Pushed in the operation theatre at 8 pm and out at 11.30 pm. Looking at the duration of the operation and also the number of nurses, doctors and assistants in the operation theatre, mother said that it was a major one. That night he wasn't conscious at all and hence we weren't able to talk to him. Went back home and the next day, he was discharged. Eyes swollen and unable to open, he did not need to position his head looking down at all times. All needed to be done to increase the speed of recovery is to sleep on his left side at night. This doctor apparently used another method to operate on daddy's eye and fortunately it was successful. Lifesaver :)

So now, dad claims that he's under house arrest, unable to go out for the next one week or so? But that just means more family bonding time :) Every cloud has a silver lining they say. We were not so lucky as his retina was detached despite having his retina holes patched twice and his retina strengthened. But on the other hand, we really have to thank our lucky stars that we detected this early, before matters got worse. And imagine if it were to happen in Bangkok. Things would be disastrous :S
So anyway... this week would be full of music and guitar time with dad I'm sure. first song up, Lionel Richie's endless love ♥ :)

It's time to face my fear...
Practical exam is tomorrow! my goodness... I honestly can't believe it that I've actually came so far in this. It's like all in a dream.

I remember when I was much younger, going to the Grand Blue Wave hotel with Marilyn to sit for our practical exam together.
Our last exam together was 5 years ago if I'm not mistaken, when she sat for Grade 8 and I was in Grade 5. And then she completed her grade8, but still accompany me for all practical exams till my Grade 8 two years ago. I've never enjoyed going to Hilton Hotel PJ, it's always the venue for the practical exams :S
Soon i got to know that I've passed that hurdle of Grade 8 but my theory is still not completed.
So there it was... the decision to take one step further. to this level, ATCL diploma.
I used to tell "oh the exam's next year end."
and then soon it became "this year end"
Later, it was "oh..I've still got time. it's four months away. no worries!"
and now... I stutter in nervousness, "IT'S ONLY 15 HOURS AWAY!"
This would be the most important thing i sit for in my whole life for now. I can not afford to stumble at any one time as the passing rate is only 15%. Oh Buddha how am I going to be counted upon the 15%? I just hope that everything goes on fine. *fingers crossed

Bangkok 2010 ♥

After 4 long long years, we finally re-visited Bangkok, the land of smiles :) It's definitely a great spot for a getaway. Friendly and polite people, cheap things, beautiful temples...

So, all of us woke up that Friday (26 Dec 10) morning excited about the trip. Our flight was at 11.50am and at about 12.55 noon Bangkok time, we arrived. Went through a torturing journey to the Narai hotel as the driver kept accelerating, then brake, then accelerate and break again throughout the whole journey. And we were somehow travelling in circles, whether he was lost or what, I've no idea.

Anyway anyway, we spent 5 days there at Bangkok purely shopping. Every single night when we get back to the hotel, I swear my feet are totally numb, as though they're not mine anymore. First night, Marilyn and I did this foot spa thing which was really hilarious to come to think about it :D We filled the tub about 1/3 full with warm-hot water added with soap and shampoo, soaked out feet in it for almost half an hour while watching 'The Wolfman' through sister's phone. Hilarious!

Ok some of the place visited was.. Jatujak or Chatuchak weekend market. The place is extremely huge and crowded. Every walkway in it looks similar and without a map, we were all circle-ing the same area over and over again, lost. They sell practically everything there. From accessories to stilettos, from leather jackets to souvenirs. You name it, they have it all. Oh, and they sell pets there! Puppies, cats, birds, squirrels, rabbits... I doubt they're certified but they were undeniably cute! The beagle puppy really stole my heart away. It was simply adorable! Too bad I didn't get a picture of it :(

Xena

This happened around two weeks ago but I couldn't really contain myself to blog about it that time, so here it is now.

Introduced to me when I was just a little girl, Xena was one of the first puppies I’ve ever encountered. She lived with us for almost a decade and now, she’s gone. Father gave her away on the second day I was at Penang, giving me no chance to bid her farewell. She was a small puzzle of our lives. Well at least a small puzzle of my life. Almost every evening, I’ve this duty to feed her the meal of her day and also to clean up after her. Yes it is a little troublesome at times but it was all worth it, it was a responsibility. On gloomy days for me, I would just walk to the back door and watch her. She gives me the feeling as though 'Hey, it's ok. Somebody needs you here', and trust me, it does help.

I see and treat her almost every single day. Feed her, pat her... and now they're denying me the rights to say goodbye to her? Of all days to do this, why does it have to be while I'm away in Penang? I was in Kek Lok Si when I received Jocelyn's text, saying that father gave Xena away. I could barely believe my eyes. I mean... I know my mother. She can scold and curse and hit but to me, she would never decide to give that dog away. She once said, she will take care of Xena and Simba till their time is up and then no more dogs. I trusted her, I believed in those words. I prayed and hoped that the text I received was all a joke. They didn't tell me anything at all about it when I called them the night before.

Just that day I decided to go out to the garden and just play with Xena. It has been ages since I've done that. But for a reason I don't remember, I did not. And now... I 'll never get the chance to do that. I'll never even get the chance to see her again. I did not even get the chance to say goodbye to her. We practically grew up together. She watched me grow just like how i watch her grow from a puppy to a matured dog, to a mother of 8 puppies.

Now, instead of overturning two bowls to fill dog food inside, I'll only have to turn one. When I look into the kennel, her room would be empty. When I walk out of the back door, there wouldn't be any Xena watching me and greeting me. I would definitely need some time adjusting to this fact. Without her barks when the 'old newspaper lorry' arrives, it'll seem different. Very different. Now there's nothing I can do but to pray for her well-being.

Summarising 4 Gamma 2010

To an outsider's point of view, 4 Gamma may seem like the best class or even a class full of nerds with their heads buried in piles and piles of books. But believe it or not, 4 Gamma 2010 is NOTHING like that. In fact, it's far far away from that. We're this bunch of people who find it extremely hard to keep quiet, even during exams ;)

I've to say that I'm truly blessed to be able to enter a class like this. It has been a great pleasure and an unforgettable experience knowing and being with everybody in that class. Some have been complete strangers to me in the beginning of the year but now, nobody is a stranger to anybody in the class. Being elected as an assistant of Praba's was unexpected and has been an undeniably fun experience. Whatever blame there is, it'll be on Praba. Having a leader of great humour and honestly i would say somebody who has a great leadership, i believe it was definitely a blessing for 4 Gammarians 2010. 4 Gamma has gone through whatever ups and downs together, that makes us what we are today. Each obstacle faced strengthens the bonds between one individual and another, building this 4G family. With a mother like Puan Chandra, we're ensured to get things moving properly. Teachers have definitely played a role in making this class so memorable. We have the best add-maths teacher in the whole wide world, Mr. Tan who has created a few 100s in this class. We have a form teacher who not only brushes up our command of English language but also embeds a sense of fashion in all of us ;) In my opinion, she's one of the only teachers who can bear with all of us for these 10 long months and also willing to bring this bunch of nut-cases to Penang. We sincerely thank her alot.

This 4 Gamma 2010 class has been one the most enjoyable thing I've ever experienced. To all 4 Gammarians 2010, thank you so much for all the amazing and unforgettable experiences and memories you've given me. This chapter closes now but another interesting chapter of 5 Gamma 2011 awaits all of us.

Let's make it another year of history! :)

to Penang with 4 Gamma

After months and months of struggling to plan a trip to Penang, 4 Gamma has managed to put it all together perfectly on the 12 to 14 November 2010 :)

We left for Penang at about 9.45 and the journey there was nothing but fun. We talked, munched, laughed, walked, and sang our hearts out throughout the whole 6 hours of journey there. It has been my longest journey to Penang so far, but undeniably the most enjoyable journey I've ever had. We were welcomed with open arms of the Naza Talyya Hotel management upon arrival and fortunate enough, all of us excluding teacher got all our rooms ON THE SAME FLOOOOOOR!! :D that was the most enjoyable part. We crashed into many other rooms at night, prank called each other, shouted across from room to room and ran along the corridor like mad people. The first night, we went for 3 meals at night. For real. First was at Gurney, where I ate my first dinner. Then was some hawker centre, where i had my second dinner. Later on at about 11.30 or so, teachers, Praba, Imtiaz, Bryan, Ajira, Nadhira and I went opposite the hotel for a round of supper. Thinking about it now, how on earth did I manage to eat that much?! Oh before I forget, we were like this bunch of curious people exploring Penang's round-about and we actually took it as a spot to take pictures! :D I can't imagine what Penang people think of us. So after all activities, we got back to hotel and we crashed people's rooms and played till late night. Couldn't really sleep on the first night though. Nadhira, Ajira and I shared a room and we ended up talking almost the whole night. With the disturbance of Praba, we only managed to get a few hours of sleep.

Day two.

Three of us woke up at 7, literally as pale and lifeless like zombies. Eye bags were clearly seen and we were practically half asleep throughout buffet breakfast. Cut short the whole day, we had barbecue by the beach in the evening!! The food wasn't as good as expected but the company and fun experienced could not be denied. We built the James Island, Tugu Tiam and Pulau Vanessa, we stood by the sea, getting hit by waves, we watched a crab go back to the sea... All of those can never be erased from my memory. That night at the beach was indescribable. It was beautiful. Since it was our last night there, Nadhira, Ajira and I actually planned to stay up the whole night so that we could spend more time among the fellow Gammarians. But of course, our planned failed and actually we slept rather early and overslept the next morning.

Day Three.

Left for Subang Jaya right after breakfast that morning. Or course, all of us didn't want the trip to end. We're literally this family who cares for each other and enjoy each other's company so very much. Slowly with heavy hearts, we left this place where we have placed sweet memories never to be forgotten. Penang has never seem this interesting to me before in my life. Before this, I know Penang as this hot island, with nowhere to go and nothing much to do. But now, with new experiences with 4 Gamma, the image of Penang has totally changed in my mind. When I go back there for Chinese New Year and pass by the places visited by 4 Gamma 2010, I'm sure to recall the memories they have created in my mind and smile at the flashbacks that play in my mind. From the chairperson's unexpected leadership to a super model's annoyance... It will all stay in my memory :) always.

Friday was pretty scary.
Went over to Kawai with mother to try out their SK-II Shigeru Kawai Grand Piano :) It's gonna be used for the exam early next month. The sound is great. Really distinct.

Soon in the evening mother recieved a call from Aunty Tina regarding grandmother.
I was half-awake and the first thing I heard when she picked up the call was.. "VOMITED BLOOD?!" and then "CRITICAL?" was heard. Unable to control this mind, the worst case scenerios ran through my mind. I was afraid. So afraid. What's happening to grandma? How's she now? Is she okay? What if..........??

All three of us (mom, dad and i) rushed to her place to see her condition. Memories of her when i was younger played in my mind. I couldn't help but tear quietly in the journey there.

Upon reaching, grandma was there, lying down, breathing with the help of an oxygen tank. Thank Buddha, she could recognise us and was able to talk. But we knew very well that her condition wasn't stable at all at that moment. So called the ambulance that took rather long to arrive and took her to the hospital. Till now, the cause of her vomiting such large amount of blood is still unknown. But she's in safe hands and she's getting better.

hello there!

Have been missing out ALOT here on my blog :( Throughout these few weeks, so many things have happened that i don't know where to start.

Alright so first of all, happy belated birthday to all October babies...
Jocelyn Teoh, Narmadha, Zhun Min, Ke Jia, Sue-En!

Moving on, after 2 weeks+ of brain torment, the finals have finally ended. And many other things are coming in my way. First up we have planning for class trip to PENANG! :D That will be next weekend. Then the destination a fortnight after that... Bangkok!!

And a week after coming back from Bangkok, would be... an adventure. 7 December 2010, diploma music exam! I'm very slightly excited about it but at the same time, this huge black cloud of fear is like covering my whole head. That fear is for the grades was already bad as much as i recall. Fingers getting cold, palms getting sweaty... What about now? I'm gonna die! Apparently the percentage to pass is only 15%! A bleady FIFTEEN PERCENT compared to 85% passing for the grades. Oh Buddha I don't know how I'm gonna face this. My fingers tremble every time without fail on the notes when the thought of going for the exam crosses my mind. "You must not make even ONE tiny mistake in your exam. you can't afford to make any mistakes! this is performance diploma!", she says. And that verse is like echoing in my head right now and it refuses to stop. At the comfort of my own home, i can carelessly make mistakes here and there. What more during the exam! HOLY that's gonna be like... let's just say it's gonna be an unforgettable moment? Positive i pray.

One more month...

Lantern Festival

Went to the temple that night for Lantern Festival :D

I think it was one of my first times staying there

till the whole thing ended.

We walked to the field with our

beautiful candle-lighted lanterns and had alot alot of fun.

Then that night at home,

i used the com to do my biology project

which was due on Monday.

Halfway doing, the whole house had no electricity.

Complete darkness..

Then we looked out at the other houses.

They were fine.

Just our house and 2 other neighbours

in the same row had no electricity supply.

After awhile,

we couldn't stand the darkness and the heat.

So...

we went to Starbucks where i coincidentally met Eniza :)

Only later at 1a.m. we went back home.

Couldn't sleep...

Tried counting sheep and it clearly didn't work.

Mosquito coil smell was so so smelly.

Mosquito repellent smell covered it but it too was smelly.

Then suddenly dad's voice was heard.

He called TNB in the midnight

when everybody was sleeping =.=

the whole night i was like an owl!

and the next day was supposed to be really tiring.

I think i only managed to get about 2 to 3 hours of sleep??

Yeah, and then more than 12 hours out for sports the next day.

2nd Inter-Buddhist Youth Fellowship Games

Went for the 2nd Inter-Buddhist Youth Fellowship Games

held in Garden International School, Mont Kiara

on the 19th September 2010.

I participated in 2 games held,

captain ball and tug-of-war,

together with Marilyn, Biiancaa and Ashley.

So... gathered at our very own

Subang Jaya Buddhist Association at 6.30 a.m.

and left for Garden International School soon after that.

First game held was Captain Ball.

We were lucky as our first competitor

did not have a captain ball team.

So, we walked over it and

straight away played in semi-finals against BUD2Y.

I was personally afraid as they've decided

to put me as the blocker and according to eldest sister,

they have chosen their best 7 players out of 20.

While we on the other hand,

had no full practise before.

The only time all of us got together as a team

was on the Friday before,

when we had a friendly match against incova.

But but but.. luck was on our side

and we won the game! :D

Next was finals against BISDS.

I've to admit that they play really really well.

Standing at the end of a court as a blocker,

I had the advantage of watching the whole game.

And whenever a player comes to shoot the ball

to the catcher whom I'm supposed to block,

the ball will very rarely be missed by her.

The catcher was SO TALL..

And she stood on a chair behind me.

Have a look...

yeah.

And mind you, i was jumping.

and her hands weren't even stretched to the max =.=

Every single ball that came was so freaking high

that even jumping to reach it was nearly impossible.

But still, I jumped every time they shot the ball

to try to block it away.

There were some shots that were so high

and i thought to myself that there's no way

she's gonna reach it. It's too high.

But suddenly when i turn to face her,

the ball is in her hands.

Scary...

First half, it was a draw. 6-6

It was super stressful throughout the 3 minutes break

and the next 8 minutes in the second half.

So when the second half began,

BISDS kept scoring..

one point after another after another.

I jumped and jumped and jumped

and no ball was blocked =.=

I could see in the whole court,

my teammates' facial expressions.

My sister's face at the other end

as the shooter was especially tensed.

Meanwhile, support from the side of the field

for SJBAYS players was clearly heard.

We have this bunch of very very supportive people in SJBAYS :)

And then slowly, SJBAYS started scoring.

And BISDS kept fouling.

I have to say... the referee was bias!

A BISDS player walked with the ball in her hands

right in front of him and no whistle was blown.

WTH rite?

Only later on, when the girl herself admitted,

then only he said it's a foul.

And well, it was a very ganas game.

Both Swea Ching and Marilyn got.. injured.

Ok continuing with the game,

I saw the urge, the will to win in my teammates

that one by one, it was our turn to shoot

and gain more and more points.

Finally.. the whistle to mark the end of the game was blown.

SJBAYS turned out the be the winner.

It felt so good, really so so good :)

Next up was lunch and then.. tug-of-war.

All the matches were almost as tough.

And.. our teammates were all named based on the McD menu.

Adrean was Triple Cheese Burger.

Eldest sister was Fillet o Fish.

Biiancaa was a nugget.

And i was apparently a french fry =.=

Again also we had our very supportive teammates

who were there all the while...

shouting, screaming.. cheering :)

We turned out champion for that as well =D

The last was volley ball.

HOLY

i have to say the finals was..

stressful even for a spectator like me.

If I'm not mistaken,

finals was against BISDS wasn't it?

Really really tough fight.

SYBAYS was good, but so was BISDS.

For every point that we earned,

we cheered this YS cheer thing.

I have to say that this whole group

are full of supportive people.

They're these people who some you barely know

but can give you all the support you can ever imagine.

At the end of the games,

SJBAYS turned out to be the overall winner for the event!! :D

It'll be my first time attending,

so yes of course I'm nervous.

But the super important thing now is..

my sport shoes are being moody.

The sole came off. Such a good timing =.=

I need to get a pair of sport shoes ASAP!!!!

Went for a 2 days 1 night trip to Malacca :)

Stayed in the usual Equatorial.

We go there often, don't ask why.

It was pretty fun but very very extremely crowded

with both foreigners and locals.

Last Wednesday,

Farah and Ajira came over for civics and bio project.

Nothing much accomplished

except for some discussion and confirmations here and there.

Miss 'Ballack' was supposed to come as well

but she couldn't make it.

So after the whole thing which ended at 12,

Ajira joined Adrean, sis1 and I for lunch.

We had sister's favourite.. Pizza Hut at Pyramid :)

totally unplanned thing.

Then all of us went bowling where we had much fun.

So many gutters and very very few strikes and spares,

see how bad we're in it?? =D

after Baskin Robins later, home was next destination.

Just a short enjoyable trip there :)

the final hurdle

finally it's over :D

Sat for theory Gd8 last Monday in my own school.

All i thought of when i arrived there was just..

"I'm going out of here in 3 hours

and I'm free from music theory exams!"

Surprisingly 3 hours was just enough to complete the exam.

I wasn't as lucky compared to last year

as there was about 6 terms asked,

and i wasn't very sure about a few of it.

Composers..

my weakest part in music just HAD to be asked.

but whatever it is, I'll just enjoy myself now.

It has been a long long journey

and that was my final hurdle for the Grades.

If i decide to pursue further in music...

that's a different story all together :)

SO, a year older a year wiser they say.

i guess it's true, but NOT for me.

people who know me will probably say...

A year older, a year crazier? ;)

okayy enough of that. So what happened?

I woke up to a normal Sunday morning

and almost everything was normal actually :)

Story cut short here and there,

Marilyn and Jocelyn got me a watch :D

apparently i needed one. It's leather, blue and ELLE :)

Moving on, all of us went for dinner at Secret Recipe.

Just a simple celebration as my theory exam

HAD to be on the day after =(

So yess, that was about my 16th.

Simple but yet fulfilling :)

oh oh! and today,

i got an egg beater and shirt from adrean.

An EGG BEATER to bake?? :D

hello folks! really sorry i couldn't find time to blog.

so now, i shall update bout the whole weekend :D

Let's start with Saturday shall we?

so, went to school at 7.30 for the inter-class badminton thing.

5 classes participated which was

Gamma, Delta, Omega, Alpha and Beta.

Our first match was against Delta.

I played ladies' doubles with Cai En

against Cher Li and.. her partner.

WE WON!! :D

Jo played against Sher Lynn and it was..

funny watching that match.

Jo won as well :)

if I'm not wrong,

Wei Qian and Kee Seng won mixed doubles

against Delta as well.

moving on, gamma against omega.

i partnered Kee Seng in mixed doubles

against Tien Chia and Boon Keat.

there's no need to even think who won.

The answer is obvious.

By the time i noticed, it was already 11.

i left and went back home,

hurriedly bath and went for Chem replacement tuition.

Trust me, my mind was still in the badminton court

thinking of Gamma's games.

after sitting through 2 hours,

i went for lunch with the guys and

only to find out that the game has not ended.

So i called home hotline

to get my racket, sport shoes and stuffs.

And then, from sukumaran,

all of us walked to school and yes, i continued playing.

they wanted me to play singles again SINDHU!!

*faints*

i practised with her and well,

all of us found 1 of her weakness...

she doesn't move around the court! XD

but nope, i didn't play against her in singles.

I know very well how bad i play

and how good she is so yeap,

jo took over instead.

The whole thing for gamma ended at about 4.30??

pretty exhausting day for all of us.

i have no idea why i was so smart to not sleep

when i got back home =.=

that night at Parade,

i was like a zombie walking around, for real.

my eyes were.. sepet-er than usual.

so yeah, if you did see me,

you'll wonder

"how can that girl walk and see with her eyes closed?"

that was about Saturday :)

we went to 'The Ship' for the birthday dinner :)

the long wait

finally the august test has ended.

Papers were..

Well, some were ok.

Some.. were killing.

hmmm you know what?

Let's not go into any further details

and stop that topic right there.

SO

these days have been rather nice to me

in the sense that i don't feel as much pressure.

I mean besides projects and music exam,

I feel a burden off my shoulders

and more time for myself! :D

oh yea.. Simba almost almost killed himself =.=

that smart dog i tell you...

story and details cut short,

it choked itself and couldn't breathe

but yeah i saved its life! =)

In a way I'm proud of him. very.

when i saw his condition n rushed out to him,

i was so scared. Very scared..

that something might happen to him

one way or another.

I struggled with his chain and leech but thank Buddha,

i managed to untie the leech

in a relatively short period of time.

As his leech was twirled around some poles,

i asked him to give me all the cooperation i needed,

from staying still to sitting,

to walking back and forth, etc.

He listened and obeyed and..

i just love Simba a whole lot :)

(although I'm a little afraid of him

due to his bad temper)

It was like he understood every single word i said,

and knew the fear i had.

Many people say,

"one's life is not complete without a pet".

I find it absolutely true, what do you think? (:

I'm panicking of course but I'm sort of giving up on it.

Weird to hear myself say "I'm giving up on it"..

hmmmm

but trust me, i can't make it my top priority currently.

like others, I've accounts, moral and civics folio

to complete by end of the month?

AND, my theory exam is just around the corner as well.

it's crucial.

plus, practical exam as well..

sighs, I'm gonna get white hair really sooooooon.

so yeah, sorry school exams.

You're not my top priority right now.

I'm not gonna expect flying colours this time.

Tan Pei Song

Many people come into our lives out of the blue

and disappear quickly in thin air,

leaving no footsteps, nor memories with us.

Some like family,

has walked with us for many many years

through joy and also hardship.

One I know,

has came into my life for just a short period of time,

but already has a special place

in my family's and my heart.

That person is no other than Pei Song.

Being like my elder brother,

he has brought much joy to my whole family.

But tonight at 11.30,

he'll be leaving to further his studies in USA

without giving any of us an idea

of when he will be coming back.

Last Sunday, 8Th August was his farewell party.

red, white, red, white, red, white, red, white, red, white

Everything was normal: chats, smiles, laughter..

Until Pei Kai gave his speech.

Yes, he did not speak much

but his sincerity in those few words was clearly felt.

He burst into tears and couldn't continue his speech.

At that point, thoughts ran through my mind.

All the McD's Pei Song bought,

the times he came over for dinner,

early of the year when him, Jocelyn, and I

went to hunt for his CNY clothes,

the birthday gifts,

the night market trips,

TDC12 where he was my group facilitator.. etc.

My eyes too, started getting watery.

I had to tell myself "DON'T CRY ADELYN, DON'T!"

I thought i was the only emo one

until i turned to my left, Marilyn.

She... was like a pipe that burst :P

Then i turned to Jocelyn, somewhere on my right.

Her eyes too were watery but yet she held it in,

like me.

All of us were clearly upset that he's leaving for...

well i don't know how long??

I'll miss those times when he suddenly pops out

in my house randomly for a chat with sisters

and I'm 100% sure that my whole family

will feel the same way.

I wonder when will be the next time I hear Jocelyn say

"I'm going out with PS for lunch"

"I'm going for Youth Session with PS".

His absence will be of a huge difference to her,

definitely.

All of us will surely miss him.

so Pei Song, if IF you're reading this,

you better make sure you come back

next year to visit all of us here

and also to see me complete the jigsaw puzzle.

That's a deal!! :)

today was relatively fun and different :D

Instead of going for co-curriculum

or even sleeping till 11,

I followed Marilyn and Adrean for captain ball practice.

It was.. fun! :)

After a LONG TIME, i met Ashley again

who still asks me "how's sch?" emotionless.

It never fails to make me laugh :D

So.. we played volley ball and gosh, i suck!

I'm bad bad bad at it. no potential

Then later on,

we practised captain ball for the upcoming

Inter-Buddhist Youth Fellowship Game =)

the whole morning game thing ended at about 11.00?

After shower and lunch,

both sisters and I went for this course,

'How to be a good emcee'.

I actually refused to go but well.. I went in the end.

the whole thing ended at 6.00 p.m. and there,

this friend of Mar's offered her

4 tickets to MTV World Stage.

3 for the 3 of us and 1 for Adrean.

But nah, it's not my type so I declined her offer.

Call me silly or anything but i know

that this concerts aren't my type.

I dislike cramp squishy places and this..

It'll be packed with people.

Totally no no no for me.

So yeah.. tiring day I've had.

It's a little early for a Saturday night

but i think I'll call it a day now.

Really tired..

Went to Malaysian Philharmonic Ochestra

(MPO) last Saturday,

to catch "La Damnation De Faust".

In English,The Damnation Of Faust.

It was an eye opener to me

as it's my very 1st time watching an ochestra LIVE.

Really interesting although I watched it alone =.=

Whole family preffered to shop for the 2.5 hours.

Anyway, the combination of string, woodwind, brass

and percussion instruments were just beautiful.

Those instruments weren't everything.

There were several suprano singers that sang in..

French i think.

Their voices were... undescribable.

It was sang in such high pitch and yet it didn't break or crack.

And.. gahhh story cut short, I'm really impressed

Probably another trip there later in the future?? :)

Oh wait.. HAPPY belated SWEET 16TH DALILA!!

Certainly hope you had a great one this year! :D

alright this ain't good.

my fear for cockroaches hasn't gone any better.

In fact, i think it is worse right now :S

Yesterday at Chemistry tuition,

everything went well until the class was dismissed.

As usual, those 3 kept saying

"OMG ADELYN THERE'S A ROACH THERE!"

When actually there's nothing.

But when exiting the main door,

before reaching the stairs..

Tiam was like "OMG THAT'S A HUGE COCKROACH!"

And he didn't sound a little like he was joking.

I peeked my head out and..

that was my worst nightmare.

it was a HUGE HUGE HUGE..

probably a flying one too :S

a cockroach!

gosh i tell you, i would rather you put a huge lizard

or a spider? frog? i don't know??

or maybe even a rat.

just NOT a roach..

it was so close to the stairs and

i know i need to walk pass it in order to go down.

i was so close to screaming but well, i didn't!

an achievement!! :D

Ok ok anyway, tiam shook the umbrella next to it.

i was seriously so afraid that it'll fly. EUUUU!

But but but it just ran behind a box

and that was when i escaped :D

germany vs spain

Got up at 2.25 that day to watch Germany vs Spain.

I knew it was gonna be a tough fight,

and having supported Germany since last FIFA,

i decided to sacrifice some of my sleep to watch the match :)

I would say it was a good game.

Though Germany lost,

i feel that the referee was so bias!

Germany actually deserved a penalty kick

AND

they didn't even do anything when Podolski's foot got spiked!

bias!!!

Whatever it is, I'm still VERY proud of Germany ♥

they didn't really go all out but...

yeah Spain, that Puyol's goal was just luck! :P

Btw, waking up middle of the night

to watch a football match is fun.

Jeremy's farewell

Last Saturday,

both sisters and I attended Jeremy's farewell party.

He has already flown to Australia...

a couple of days back.

Well it was quite fun and,...

I met up with my Aida there :D

We too watched Germany vs Argentina there.

Such a waste that i didn't make a deal with Adrean.

Or not, i would have earned myself a McD meal XD

Tonight will be Germany vs Spain.

GO GERMANY!!

thought Paul predicted Spain will win,

it's just another octopus right??

I so want to cook and eat it if it's prediction is wrong! :P

Skipped school yesterday although it was Koperasi Day.

I chose to follow dad to the hospital instead.

His stomach has been mis-behaving these days.

SO.. he went for a thorough check-up yesterday.

They managed to detect a couple of things wrong

with his liver and stomach.

Well, they are quite bad

but never the less,

we are all so thankful that it's nothing VERY serious.

Thank Buddha.

On the other hand,

I got the news that my class made quite some profit

from the sales yesterday.

Great job Gamma! :)

memoirs of an ahnehneh

my team :D

Last Saturday (26th June) was just great.

We had our TDC12 reunion and somehow,

it gives me this special feeling.

It's the exact same feeling i had in camp,

the feeling of having new found true friendships,

the feeling of being somewhere so familar

and comfortable, like home.

It was nice to meet all the happy faces again,

although some did not turn up :(

I still remember wondering whether or not

i will enjoy this camp on the first day.

But half through day 1, i knew i got my answer.

I enjoyed every second of the camp.

It's like.. although I'm around people i barely know,

I'm not afraid to show my true self.

Probably even a side of me i have never knew.

I wasn't afraid of unleashing and

showing who i really am to them,

simply because i know

they are my ahnehnehs and I am their ahnehneh =)

The bond between these friendships

have certainly bloomed very rapidly.

Upon arival at SJBA on the 10th of June,

i only knew about 5 participants..

AND,.. I barely knew them.

All i knew about them were their names and age.

But after the 4 days spent together,

you would never have thought

how strangers could be close kalyana mitras

It certainly taught us how to open up to others,

didn't it ahnehnehs? ;)

Went to temple again

and saw so many familar faces from tdc12

as I'm in SDS :(

Can't wait for SDS graduation.

Then.. TQ, here i come!

Im this huge huge fan of Germany and

yes!

I was certainly

SO GLAD

that germany won england! :P

It was nice watching the match with them.

Rather than just sitting alone at home

and even when there's a goal,

there'll be nobody there cheering with me.

It felt awkward as i never really have people

watching and listening to what i play on the piano.

(shows how bad i am in it).

Moving on..

went Mid Vally yesterday with mother n sis2.

Got several things.. :D

today.. lunch with family, and Adrean

at Belly Good restaurant.

And it was such a coincidence

that we bumped into Pei Song there!

Teen Dhamma Camp 12

Day 1.

We gathered at temple by 7.30

and started this movie auditioning thing.

each movie pose consisted of 8 people.

We had to pose for the movie x)

And later on, we were placed into our groups

Moving on, we left for Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS)

The place is SO BEAUTIFUL, really! :)

We had a briefing about GA and BA.. (Guardian Angel & Baby Angel)

which was really nice! (:

Then we had this activity which thought us about making decisions.

Each group were given a card about a situation..

Each situation led to 2 decisions

And each decision led to another situation.

Action and reaction thing..

next thing i can remember on first day was..

OST (Operasi Sebelum Tidur)

We gathered in the Bhavana Hall where almost all the lights were off,

We were required to hold our friends' hand and sit down, closing our eyes.

Then we were all blind-folded.

Slowly, they took our hands off our friends' and asked us to stand,

walking around outside the Bhavana hall

while placing our hands on our friend's shoulder.

They let us rely on our 4 other senses to notice things..

And also to practise mindfulness, taking every step carefully.

Later on.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Day 2.

We had a CSI activity, Loyer 2: The Return Of Goonsman.

It was fun! but yet again quite tiring.

We had to run up and down to find the suspects.

And, we had to perform certain tasks to get their statements.

Moving on was Table Talk, a water game.

We were asked questions, Dhamma questions and general questions.

If you answer wrongly, your opponent will splash you with a cup of water.

And later on, 2 cups of water.

Pei Hong and I were extremely lucky as we were the only participants who didn't get wet at all! :)

Soon, it was the wet people vs the un-wet.

The un-wet were all the committe, facilitators, advisor, Pei Hong and I.

Then a participant came and asked about basketball Olympics 2008.

That was when we were dooooooooooooommeddd.

Pei Song went and answer Spain,

and from all angles came some participants carrying 4 buckets of water in total and...

Yeah we were drenched! So in the end, everybody excluding the cameramen were wet.

It was fin! :D

Day 3.

I wasn't feeling that well. My appetite was a quite bad but i know i HAVE to eat.

then, We had T.A.B.U.R (The Amazing Bandar Utama Race) XD

It was something like the amazing race where we need to perform tasks

To get a que of the next station.

It did teach us about perseverance.

'When the world shouts "give up", hope whispers "Give it one more try" ' :)

And then.. We had 'So you think u can think' :D

It was again questions on general knowledge and Dhamma questions.

As I'm in Sunday Dhamma School student, I admit I have a little priviledge in this :)

And and, the most hilarious was..

"WHAT'S OUR CHAIRPERSON'S FULL NAME?"

Hahaaa!! thank you eldest sister!

If it wasn't her, I maybe wouldn't even know Adrean. Hahaa!

When the committee saw it was me, they were like "chey this one!! of course she know la!"

hilarious i tell you!!

Anyway anyway,

later we had Academy Awards Ceremony.

We are all required to act!

in front of parents, and other audiences.

My group name is Jet Li and we're supposed to do Sci-Fi.

I was narrator :D

First one in my group to go up..

Centre stage, every eye on me, every ear listening to my words.

God, my heart was like going to fly out.

And i wasn't feeling that well, I could throw out any moment that time.

According to Jocelyn, my hands and forehead felt hot :S

Anyway thank goodness, and thanks to my group, everything went well :)

Though we did not get 1st placing, this activity did teach us about team-work.

And, i admit it did give me some courage to speak out in front of a crowd.

Later was Kalyana Mitra session ( Spiritual Friends )

One by one the committee came out from backstage to recite parts of a poem or a song.

They played sad sad songs on the background and yes, admitted,

my eyes were watery by then.

But! but but.. I didn't cry. YET

Soon, participants formed a huge outer circle

while committee formed and inner circle facing out to the participants.

They shared their experience, their journey of planning this camp for us.

I was touched, and started tearing a little but i told myself I AM NOT GOING TO CRY.

Then there came miss Marilyn hugging every committee, crying

and then she came and hugged me.

That was when i couldn't stand it anymore.

The accumulation of tears that I haven't shed for quite sometime were all poured out then.

Trust me, the shoulder part of her shirt was wet as every committee cried and hugged her.

Jeremy Ooi came to my back with his camera to take a picture

and I remember whispering into Marilyn's ear... "Don't look at the camera" XD

While patting her back, I also said

"Don't cry la, nanti tomorrow got big swollen eyes. like panda".

Later on, most people hugged each other and that's it, day 3.

That night was really very very cold.

I'm one person who very seldom says that a place is cold simply because i like cold places

But that night.. I woke up in the middle of the night lying on my side shivering.

I swear i was shaking under my bed sheet which i used as a blanket.

I didn't know what to do.

Should increase the temperature? Should I wake Aida up to borrow her blanket??

I DON'T KNOW.

So i got up, still shivering, put on another layer of clothes and lied down.

I was still shivering when I fell asleep.

I don't know how I could sleep back but.. i did XD

Thinking and talking about it to Jocelyn now, I think i was having a fever that night :S

I didn't show it out in camp of course. I didn't want to be treated as someone unwell.

day 4.

Our last day :(

We found out who's our GA :)

Mine was Cherie Sew.

We wrote alot to each other.

She gave me many sweets, she gave me much 'leong cha' also :D hahaa!!

Then was a picture session.

It was.. FUN :D

We were then assigned to certain places in the temple to clean up.

My group were assigned to the kitchen.

It was quite hard to clean the floor as everyone kept walking around with their dirty legs.

So we decided to just spray water around and mop it off to the side.

Soon, we were back in SJBA.

It was funny how we had this siblings thingy XD

So yeahp that's the end of a 4 days 3 nights camp.

"It's not the ending, It's just a begining of a new found friendship".

and all of us are not only friends, we're kalyana mitras. Spiritual Friends :)

PS: I do not eat vege, those leafy and stem ones! :S

but still this morning, went for badminton again.

I need more practises!!

I'm still as bad as ever in that game :(

Anyway I'll be attending Teen Dhamma Camp

from tomorrow till the 13th.

Marilyn's advisor this time and

Adrean's chairing the camp.

Wei Wen's joining me also! :D

Hope it'll be nice!! =)

But with these legs killing me,

I can imagine being like a grandma there.

Alright then, I guess that's all.

what happened today?

today was surprisingly FUN :)

Sis2, mommy and I went to Pyramid at about 12.30 till 5.

I saw SO MANY familiar faces there.

Praba, Sophie, Nadirah, Timothy, etc etc..

Anyway later after dinner,

I followed both sisters for some badminton session

with temple friends :D

They're really nice people.

Giving me many many advices and tips

so that I can improve =)

A night stay in....... Kuala Lumpur

Saturday morning, we went down town.

Had light brunch,

and checked into Renaissance Hotel, KL.

Yess, we stayed at KL. Hahaa! :D

While waiting for mom

to settle the check-in procedures,

Marilyn, dad and i enjoyed the songs played.

there was a pianist and a saxophone-ist.

Really beautiful combination :D

Makes me feel like learning the saxophone ;)

Anyway, first day was practically thrown into the bin.

They slept while i used the laptop in the hotel room =.=

then later on we had buffet dinner there AGAIN.

Then walked to MaTIC, spent some time there,

and went back to explore the hotel pool.

the next day,

Marilyn, dad and i went for a swim after breakfast.

It was fun and I go darker :D

no, I'm not black. yet?? :S

hahaa!

after checking out at about 2,

we shopped in Pavilion till we dropped.

hours later, destination: home sweet home :D

Finally the mid year exams are over.

Two weeks of pure torture :S

English 1 was worst for me

as I didn't manage to complete my essay. :(

I planned to write 8 paragraphs but

I only managed to write 6 by the time

Jeeva grabbed my papers away.

*sighs*

I wrote about Rambo,

how he came into our lives and completed it,

how he touched our hearts and made us proud,

and how his absence affected Simba, Xena and us.

ouh well, today's his 3rd year death anniversary!

coincidence rite?

yesterday I wrote an essay bout him

and today is his death anniversary.

As Buddhists, I do believe in rebirth and Rambo..

I have completely no idea how many rebirths

he has gone through.

I guess all I can do for him now is to pray hard

and transfer some merits to him :)

Anger management..

that's something i desperately need to learn.

Well today, Jo, Dylan, CK and I went to school

to practise badminton.

We were in the middle of an 'intense' game,

with close scores when a teacher..

or should i say a very rude person walked up to CK and I

err yeah?

you know this week is for afternoon session?

okay.. so *looks at CK*

so what are you all doing here?

umm, we're practising for the league??

practise..

so what are my afternoon session students going to do?

are they going to watch you play?

you are taking the court. they got no where to play

But teacher there are so many other morning session..

i do not care. you are taking up their court!

Ok we're really sorry, but teacher, look at..

this is very unfair. it is their week!

*looses temper*

OK, We're sorry, orite? so what are we supposed to do now?

i do not want to know what or where you are supposed to go.

just BELAH

what??

look at the whole hall, they're so many other morning session students!

CK now buds in and stops the soon-to-be arguement

I mean fine,

i know she just wants the place for the

afternoon session students.

But as a teacher, can't she speak more politely?

Furthermore, i remember so clearly that a teacher said

badminton practice for morning session will be held

WEEKLY.

Those are the people teaching us,

I thought we're supposed to make them a 'role model'.

So are we suppose to be rude to others now?

Finally after almost a year,

I received the cheque from

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music =D

It's a Hedy King Robinson Prize

for theory candidates who achieve distinction (G6-G8)

or complete 100 marks for G1-G5.

I'm 1 of those lucky ones who got 91 for G7 so...

ngehehee.. I got 90USD

Yes, it's not a HUGE sum of money but still,

you know the feeling when you've poured your effort onto something

and finally it gives you back a satisfying reward?

Yup, that's exactly how I'm currently feeling :D

Hopefully there'll be another one like this for my G8

"funeral" on friday

En Mothar came in, saw it and said..

he seemed amazed, and then he walked off.

realised its existance after such a long time and asked..

"what's that at the back there? is it a rat or something?" XD

well, it's 4 Gamma's mascot, mr spermy, ("biology stuff")

How it died?? it got vandalised when we saw it on Friday morning.

We had a funeral for it. Yess, we did.

All of us wore white.. XD and well, we 'cremated' it..

Its ashes are place under the.. palm tree. i think.

"Rest in peace spermy, we'll miss you, definitely".

Gamma guitar

Since everybody knew that school would be a waste on time,

Nazmi brought his acoustic guitar to school on Thursday.

Everyone wanted to hold and play it,

Imtiaz just couldn't get enough of his singing :D

And Narmadha's love for Sound of music's theme song, 'Edelweiss' was exposed.

It was really fun, as though it was a singing day or something.

Later on during add maths, Mr Tan took the guitar and played it while we sang.

hahaaa!! that was a unforgettable moment for all of us :D

late update :(

sorry for this late update :(

Last Saturday was 'Hari Anugerah Cemerlang'.

It was surprisingly fun despite the LONG speeches which obviously nobody listens to.

Performances were just ok ok.

And what Aj said actually made me feel afraid going on stage.

she made me think of the worst case scenario...

FALLING ON STAGE! :S

And previously my sister told me that many people tripped over their baju kurung on stage.

Hahaaa but thank goodness I didn't create a spotlight for myself by falling.

Later on, many others went for IR day at Summit but nope, not me.

I initially needed to go for a seminar at Segi college, so I didn't consider going for IR.

but the seminar starts at 10.

I wouldn't be able to make it there on time. So, i didn't go for both.

Oh yeah!! Yesterday our 4 Gamma just shifted from the Chemistry laboratory to the new block!

and goodnesss!! it's as white as an asylum!

The things were all so dusty and new.

It was nice to finally have seats which we can lean on,

good to have our bags placed behind us instead of outside the class :D

But the worst part was.. Chandra decided where we will sit and who we will sit with.

Thanks to Tiam, I'm placed with Kartikeyan at the side of the class :@

Though, that's just for English lessons rite 4G? ;)

School today was mad.

the guys came up with something new..

A METHOD TO FAINT

hahaa!! it goes like this..

while squatting down, a guy takes 9 deep breaths

he takes a 10th breath, holds it and stands up.

He doesn't release his breath no matter what for this to work.

Then, the other guys pushes his chest forcefully.

Seconds later, he faints..

Crazy how they can come up with things like this rite?

But it seems that Gamma guys are sort of immune to it XD

Kee Seng tried, but failed. And so did Bryan and Chun Kit.

another wrong path i've taken

helllo there..

Things haven't been VERY PLEASANT to be honest

Well.. don't wonder or ask why

I'm unable to answer that.

Anyway, today was school sports day and as usual, i didn't go =(

I was actually planning to go but I didn't go? hahaa

since i didn't get my Saturday break, i took a Sunday break =D

alright so what Saturday mainly was....

8.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon

4 Gamma had our extra class for History.

of course the thought of..

"FOUR HOURS OF HISTORY?? OMG! I'M GONNA SLEEEEEEP" came to my mind

BUT it was surprisingly fun =D

Pn Suseela actually brought all of us present on that day to mamak! XD

hahaaa it was fun.

Narmadha and I coincidentally wore the same coloured shirt, gray

and almost the same shade of blue jeans

hahaaa!!

I desperately wanted to sleep after that at home.

but mom kept distracting me and..

the day continued with 'chee cheong fun' for lunch at kl.

and shopping at pavillion till 11 i think? =D

Sunny Sunday.. :)

Started my day at 9.30 and rushed to the temple by 10.15 or so.

There was this lady, Theresa Hsu who delivered a speech,

The 'Secret to her longevity'.

GUESSS.. how old is she???

Hold your breath, she's 112 years young this year

and her secret to longevity is nothing but optimism and 'HA HA HA'

A very very positive and clear minded person.

I mean, how many people can live over a century??

AND be that clear minded??

She kept the crowd laughing and lively.

And at this age, she practises yoga.

How beautiful is that?

Not only can she mentally fit,

she also set up a "Heart to heart organisation" in Singapore to help old folks.

Life isn't about living over a century, it's about the quality of life we live.

Life isn't about looking back to past regrets and crying over spilt milk,

it's about smiling. laughing and moulding the future to how you want it to be.

But most importantly,

life is ALL about joy, laughter and happiness.

The energy and thoughts we set out is what we're gonna get.

Live life to the max :)

Last week had been hectic especially Sunday,

my weekend when i usually have my break =(

woke up at 9.30

10.00 - 11.40 ~ temple

11.45 - 12.50 ~ music class

1.00 - 1.45 ~ got home, showered, went out n ate

2.00 - 4.00 accounts class =S

crazy day i tell you!!!!

and d worst is yet to come.

Instead of 3 pieces for practical exam end of this year,

I need to take FIVE instead.

WHY??

Because i have to play for d scariest 35 mins of my life,

EXCLUDING the time between pieces! :@

ouh ouh!! and teacher asked me to join concerts.

ngeheheeeee i agree in the sense i need exposure but on second thoughts...

maybe not :S

heyyy there! =D

last Monday i was so 'lucky'.

during BM lesson,

i had to be the first to present my aural thingy.

BUT Nor Aidah didn't allow

the novels in school to be done as aural.

So, its postponed to this coming Monday =S

During English, Pn. Chandra said she'll pick us out

to present our aural test at random orders.

And i was first again to present it.

such GREAT luck rite?? plus, i wasn't prepared at all!!

no script, no preparations.. no NOTHING.

I didn't even know what to talk about.

But I did talk about 'do you believe in ghosts?' x)

and i hope it went well. ..

Anyway..It's already April, fast rite rite?

And on the 1st of April, Mr Tan was so mad.

Scary seeing him loose his temper man =S

he was like..

"ASSISTANT MONITOR!

WHY DIDN'T YOU COME AND LOOK FOR ME?

PRABA'S NOT HERE.

YOU SHOULD COME AND FIND ME!"

It was REALLY REALLY SCARY =S

but we did have a fun crazy time that day,

It's been quite awhile rite rite??

School has been rather ok :)

This week, only the front lights and fans in the lab are working,

SO.. JX, Tiam, Imtiaz, Praba, Chun Kit and Nazmi joined us at our table.

And gosh.. they make things go crazy.

Whenever there is no teacher, hahaaa we have "great" conversations XD

Seriously i can laugh till i cry, u guys are great!

Tuitions.. oh gosh accounts tuition on Wednesday is.. KUKU

Hahaaa i laughed till my tummy ached, for real :D

Garret became CARROT & Ivan Goh became ELEPHANT GOH XD

I'm so sure that replacement this weekend will be dull comparatively

Talking bout replacements, I couldn't go to Port Dickson because of it!

Mrs Chia called yesterday and asked me to go along

to see whether or not the conditions of some camping place is suitable for our

Sunday Dhamma School session 2 annual camp

BUT, i had to turn her offer down =( sad case..

haha that was my impromptu aural speech that Thursday.

first person who struck my mind... MUMMY!

So i went like....

"hiii!! good morning to *bla bla bla bla bla*.

My favourite role model is my mom.

Simply because... she's a very patient person.

She hardly looses her temper. that's something i must learn from her. hahaaaaa

*goes blank at the head & stares at the ceiling*

ummm, she's a very caring, loving and understanding person.

Just like all our mothers.

I'm sure they are very caring people.

They care for us and shower us with love.

They watch us from young..

Taking care of us and bringing us up till we're so.. big? talll?? fat?? hahaa..

sooo ummmm *silence*

so yeah, i love my mom. i wish to be like her, and have her personality.

She's my favourite role model :)

I AM GONA MURDER MY DEAD BLOG! :@

Yesterday I spent about half an hour writing here.

And when i posted it, d font was HUGE. Couldn't even read :S

so.. i saved it n now, d whole long saved thing is left with NOTHING.

Heeeesh! here i am AGAIN, starting to type d same thing.

ANYWAY.. lets start with CNY carolling on the 28th Feb :D

Went to a few houses, Lim Mesra AND the market, SS15 Market =D

hahaaa d weather was so so SO SUPER HOT.

BUT, we still had loads and loads of fun.

As everyone knows, im a 'banana person' who never attempts to speak in chinese.

But on that day, i had to SING in chinese :D

Some of the most fun parts were..

INDIAN POKER

It goes like this..

a mixture bowl and some drinks or even food are placed in the centre.

Each player is given 1 card each but

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE YOUR OWN CARD.

Then, everyone lifts up their card to their forehead without knowing their card is.

Now, everyone can see your card and you can see every player's card.

Every player has a chance of putting any food or drinks placed in the centre

at any amount into the mixture bowl.

After that, every player places their card facing up on the floor simultaneously.

The player with the smallest card value drinks everything in the mixture bowl XD

Goddd its been ages since i've blogged here :(
Don't blame me.. blame that lightning that struck my cpu and caused this..
anyway, ok now where do i start??

CNY i guess..
okay, went back to penang on Friday (12Feb) and came back on Monday (15 Feb).
Thank goodness i missed school on Friday. aj called me on that day itself n told me what happened during bio.. What a BLESSING to have such a GREAT teacher.

Penang.. 1 word describes everything. HOT!
4 days there and not even a single drop of rain! :S
and to make conditions worse, the new house that grandpa and grandma live in now gets the direct afternoon sun. THE WHOLE HOUSE.
It was a combo of heat, boredom and cigarette smell..

New year eve night..
Joined grandma and 2 sisters in the temple, selling food and drinks for charity this year. haha i think that was d only fun part i had :D though tiring, but.. i don't know. it was just enjoyable! :) I was selling drinks with grandma while sisters and a few others sold food. Finished at about 4am n walked back home which was just across d road x)

So yess, that's about it in Penang.

Gosh I've been like abandoning this blog :((
Miss AJ was telling me of how bored she is clicking on my link and finding NO NEW POSTS..
SO, here I am, thinking of what to write..

Thaipussam has just passed and this year we didn't manage to go to Batu Caves as we do every single year. sad sad case.. i miss the pink candies!! :(

It's been so super long since I've actually came online in the noon. Usually packed with LOADS n LOADS of school stuffs but today, I CLAIM MY BREAK. ANYWAY.. yesterday aj came into 4GAMMA. I'm honestly really glad that she's here :D Meanwhile holding a post in class is just... HORRID! that lab asst can't seem to leave my life alone :S every morning if i happen to be there when she opens the chemistry lab, gone!! she'll nag n nag n nag and ask to clean the lab! ANNOYINGGG!! :@

BUT............

My nightmare of her is coming to an end! :D
We're gonna shift to the new block! FINALLLLLLYYY!!
that block hasn't been of any use except for being a place where some students puff their lungs out. tsk tsk tsk...

okay, so that's all for now i guess.

What else is this post about other than school & tuition? :S

school has been rather OK OK.. i guess I'm slowly settling down in 4G,

tho NOTHING.. NOTHING AT ALL CAN REPLACE 3G 09!

Tuition have been disasters!! real disasters!!

my initial tuition plan had to chg because of 1 irresponsible woman's fault.

chem tuition that i enjoyed SO MUCH on Fri night had to be changed, and so did other classes... :(

I'm like dreading to go to school and tuition now.

my 2010 definitely had a terrible start. TERRIBLE!

anyway, today i took a break from all the hw n stuffs..

Dad and I went to Tropicana Club for a swim which I've longed for years!

I haven't been there for about a year and a half i think..

And today, there were literally NOBODY in the ladies' room..

except for the worker there.

The swimming pool was also surprisingly empty. not even a single soul when dad and i went..

it was as though the whole place belongs to us :D

So.. we swam freely, without having the fear of banging into someone or someone blocking your way when you're lap swimming etc..

And.. we sat d slide XD even dad did!! surprisingly :D

it was so much fun!! last time i did that was many years back.

the childhood moments i miss dearly! :(
